the paint in my bathroom has a crackled look to it. it is not coming off the wall however I want to paint it and do not want the new paint to look the same way. what can i do to stop this?How do i repair crackling paint?
Without seeing it, I'd have to say you'll need to chip it off as best you can first. Then it sounds like you'll need to skim it with drywall mud and then re-texturing it. Then go about painting as usual.How do i repair crackling paint?
chip it off...sand it, even it out with dry wall compound and sand it again
you may even have to use mesh dry wall repair tape in order to keep it from looking bad depending on how many coats of the old paint is chipping off....time consuming I know but it has to be this way
